If you do replace the head unit, I know Apline has many that allow for compatibility with the steering wheel controls, and would let you continue to use them.

Just about every brand makes units that will work with the steering wheel controls. A seperate wiring kit is needed.

If you go with the Kicker speakers from Mopar, they have a kit for the front and one for the rear. The front kit comes with the door speakers and 2 dash speakers. The rear just the 2 doors or sides depending on the cab you have. No mods necessary, everything is plug and play. Probably the easiest way to do it. And they are definitely better than stock.

Someone ordered a set of fronts and rears on here. Have to find the thread then you can ask him how he liked them.

wellstep, the pioneer ones are a definite inprovement alot more bass by far and the only modification was cutting the factory connectors off and crimping the new ones on. the doors i used TS-A6963 6X9 3WAY and the dash was TS-A878 3 1/2 2WAY. the doors were easy but the dash was a pain in the *** cause small work area and the factory wires are real short but it was worth it. And it only cost me around $190 for all the speakers.

Topgun thanks the only other issue I am trying to find out is if the systemis 2ohm or 4 ohm and the efffect that will have on a 4ohm speaker the only decent ones I have been able to find for 2ohm are Infinitty and I have not been able to determine what the Kickers are but I have never been a big Kicker fan.
