Window tent help
Should be 20% ish. It varies from manufacture to manufacture, but 20% is the general rule. Of course a good chunk of the states 20% on the side windows is illegal. Most shops will do it for you though, just as long as you promise not to rat them out.
I think it's pretty common to see a variance of up to +-4% on all window tint. I had 10% added to all windows except the windshield, I got a 5% eyebrow there. It's dark but what I'm used to. The state law here in Arkansas states 35% is the maximum on the front side windows but is allowed to meter at anything over 28%. The only ticket I've ever received was when I metered 3.5%. I have had to trim my windshield eyebrow a couple of times because it extended more than a dollar bill length in the center though.
I've found that it is hard to match factory tint. I prefer to just tint all of them, even if the back ones already have factory on them... this eliminates any color variations from the aftermarket tint to the factory stuff.

In TN you must allow more than 35% of light to enter each window.
There can also be no mirror or metallic appearance. Colors are also explicitly banned.
The windshield can be tinted with non reflective tint (no restrictions) as long as it's above the manufacturere's AS-1 line.

I think the Law in Wisconsin is either 30 or 35, so that is what I did. But, the place that put mine in also told me that he tinted a cops personal windows and he went darker. The cop told them that if you go to an eye doctor and get a written slip that you have sensitive eyes you can tint it darker and they can't give you a fine for being darker. Something I never knew.

In Arkansas, it has to be a skin condition not eyes as sunglasses are available for that. I've already tried that one as I do have very light sensitive eyes and my doctor precribed really dark sunglasses.
MD law says 35%, I went with 15% on the driver/passenger windows and that matches the factory tint really well.
