Default black exhaust deposits

I have a black deposit coming from both exhaust tips, more from the driver's side than the other side. It's at the bottom and wipes off easily. Is this common or do I have a tuning issue? My truck is a Hemi-powered Laramie built in early April.

Maybe I'm wrong but go stick your finger in any vehicles exhaust that has more than a few thousand miles on it and I'm willing to bet your finger is gonna come out with some black soot on it.

it happens on any vehicle, if you dont like it wash it off every time you wash your truck.

My 05 and 06 F150 were dyno tuned and the air/fuel mixes were right on. I still would get the build up on the tips so I just assumed it does not mean it is running rich. I also get this now on the Ram.

My truck is that beautiful blue. The deposits are on the '6 oclock' position at the end of the tubes, about an inch long on the driver's side, a little less on the other. It's not a big deal, like I said it easily wipes off. I was just concerned that it was an indication of trouble. Sounds like it is just normal and nothing to worry about. Thanks everybody for chipping in.

Its just exhaust fumes that don't get pushed all the way out when truck is shut down then when the hot exhaust pipes cool condensation sets in. Then when you start the truck up all the mositure and exhaust that got collected is pushed out. That is what you are seeing. If you have the stock muffler on there is a weep hole in the bottom end of muffler and it dose the same thing just gets pushed out the weep hole. Alot of our Military trucks do this as well, everyone screams and yells oh the rings are bad or valve seat are worn no mositure plays a big role in vehicles exhaust systems.
