Honestly, coil sprung or not the 09 rams are rated for the 9,100 max towing the the proper configuration. The current Dakotas from '05 till now are rated for 7,000 in the proper configuration. Mine isn't even the proper config for max tow rating and I have towed over 6,000 pounds no sweat with my truck. I can't believe there would be any trouble at all haulilng a 6k trailer with the 2009 Ram.
