Default Anyone have instructions to remove the dash??

Hello:

New speakers are on the way. I'm thinking of replacing the radio as well. One thing just leads to another.

Cruthfield told me that they do not have the master sheets for the 2009 Dodge Ram, but they indicated that someone can walk me through the removal....I'd prefer some type of step by step guide with pictures to remove the dash.

Is there a post which outlines how to remove the dash?

THANKS!!!

It's kinda simple once you see how it all goes together. The toughest part is removing the chrome trim ring from around the shifter as the top of the console has to come out before you can pull the dash front. There are 2 screws that hold it in up front. Then there are 3 on the dash, 1 being under where the 110 outlet is and 2 under the top depressed storage area. If you look at the pictures and have any questions, feel free to fire away. I've had mine apart.

Here are some pictures of what you need to do. They are in order of the way it comes apart.

Hey Top nice job and nice documentation. I'm also looking to do some interior mods, specifically a custom GPS mount. I have the REN stereo w/o nav and don't see how I can justify upgrading the to the RER. But I do have a Garmin and I've been working on a simple mount for it, above the head unit. What I need now is to get some switched power to it from somewhere. Where is a good place to tap into behind the console? Should I just go all the way to the fuse box? Thanks!

I can't see putting that cable in when you have similar sized hard drive on your radio that you can just load up with the same music as your ipod??? I am confused just a bit. I think that Apple has all you I users hooked or at least they are trying to anyway. Really what is the purpose of the ipod if you have the same thing on your radio.

The pictures aren't mine. I also don't own an Ipod or a radio with the harddrive.
