Well i went with the flowmaster 40 and the airaid cold air intake. does anyone know of any other mods i can do to up the hp to this bad boy or any other things i can do to make up for the 3.55 gears i have other then changing them.
normally id beg you to keep the chrome... but on your color truck id agree to get rid of it.
there are not too many power upgrades out for our trucks yet... you have already done the intake and exhaust... i would say some low cost power upgrade would be to replace ALL your plugs with e3s, better wires... ummm... I'm not sure id trust any of the tuners out yet. ummm... yeah there is always the supercharger route but that will cost you a divorce lol..
you could try to upgrade to a lighter wheel.. maybe go with 18s forged.. or something to reduce the rotating mass... that should help a lot depending on how much weight you mull off..
some say each pound of rotating mass that is eliminated equates to removing 7 pounds from the vehicle.. so if you can reduce 5-10 lbs each wheel... it could be like taking off a few hundred pounds of weight.. better braking and faster acceleration. don't forget the advantages that lighter wheels have for your suspension. The lower unsprung rate will translate into less linear momentum in the y-plane, and thus allow your suspension to respond much quicker
or you could install a quick shot of NOS lol
ummm.. I'm searching here... how about nope.. I'm out.. get the e3s and big coil wires first and let us know how it turns out

go with the sport look, matching body colour grill, get rid of the chrome. Except don't black out stuff, just either leave the factory rims or some nice aluminum or chrome wheels with different tires, just not a blackedouttype guy for rims anyway, I wonder, you guess painting inside your headlight, is it legal, do you lose and light? That would look nice on my black truck but I was warned it would be illegal.?
ok the e3's what exactly will that do and how much do you think that will help? do i need to go to any auto parts store to get those and how hard r they to put in can i do it myself or is it a pain in the ***. thanks for the help

Waste of money! All it will do is make something that is already efficient and keep it efficient. The wires will only help if you have a coil to support it. It's not needed so the wires, don;t need them. As far as the plugs go, they'll just last longer, that's it. You start messing around with hotter/cooler plugs and the computer will just adjust fuel and air mixture around what you think you just did which will actually cause more build up. With these new fancy dancy computer run vehicles, it's all been thought of. When they build an engine, they decide what is the target performance and the target fuel economy. They tune until they get the numbers as close as possible, they throw enough fuel and air in and then make that efficient for the EPA, hense you already have the better stuff. If anything buy the plugs, you won;t get any horse power gain at all, I don;t care what the package says, they will just last longer.
It's gonna suck, but wait a year. Programmers will have been tested longer and then they will have a recommended heat range for the plugs. You think you get bad gas mileage now? I feel that these engines are capable of some pretty huge performance numbers, just gotta pay to unleash it.

usahemi is kinda pretty much right..
The plugs will burn more efficient than the stocks ones.. more complete burn=more power... but no knows how much you'd get from them, thats why i said try it
The wires are also something thats debatable..its kinda like runnin bigger speaker wires to you new speakers... the bigger the wire the more current and faster transfer of electricity to the spark
would doing this get you 10 hp? maybe.. there are 16 plugs in these and if you get 1 hp from each plug due to faster fuel burn.. then you get 16 hp... more/less what you would get for a exhaust of intake swap.. .thats why i said you can try it.
i was just searching for ideas since there really is a limited option for these trucks. the plugs and wires COULD help a lot.. might not do much.. the truth is unless you get into cam swapping, rockers or other internal parts.. there isn't much else out there right now.
