Default interior drone

i finnally pick up my new ram tomrrow. i am looking into either the 14 or 18 inch mufflex muffler for it but i am worried about drone with the 14 inch one being too much. from what i have heard online there seems to be quite a difference between the two from the outside but what about inside the cab? i am getting a crewcab with the 3.55 rear end. has anyone heard both systems from inside the cab. i want to go as aggressive as i can without making it to loud to carry on a conversation and i dont want to have to yell to talk to the people in the back. any help is greatly appreciated and sorry for the long first post.

I'm new here also. I've got an 09 Dodge Ram crewcab with 3.92's and the 14 inch magnaflow. IMO its perfect. There is some drone from 45-60 when under throttle climbing a hills but other than that its not bad at all. On the highway from 70-80 I can't even tell the difference from stock unless I step on it. Its impossible to have the best of both worlds but the 14 in no way makes the truck too loud to carry on a conversation. If you plan on towing I would consider something the 18 though...

Get the 18" it will be plenty loud. I have a 14" dual in/single out in my 3rd gen w/ the factory y-pipe cut out and it's too loud and drones quite a bit.

i also have the 18" nice tone with normal driving with hardly any drone but when you hit the gas you can definetly hear it its loud enough without being obnoxiously loud

thank you guys for all your input. Seems like the 18 seems to be the way to go since I will often be pulling an enclosed trailer and rammer09 is not the first time i have heard that the 14 might be a little much if you tow alot. Just wanted some extra feedback from people with the two setups since internet sound clips dont seem to do exhausts any justice.

I still think you will be happy with your stock exhaust after a few miles it gets louder as does your 18"
