It's in between "eggshell" and satin, kind of a custom mix by the guy who painted them. I definitely didn't want gloss, but the pure flat comes out pretty grey. I'm pretty happy with this color.

I think it would look good with mineral grey.

I'd love to see a write-up with pics on the rims by someone. I'd like to do that to mine but not willing to tackle it and wing it.

looks real clean!

but of coarse you know you need darker tinted windows, blacked out tails (see mine) and blacked out headlights to complete the look!

They look like satin black; satin will look better with mg. Flat black is going to look someone dirty all of the time.

I saw this when I googled. Looks fairly simple but I just don't trust myself with spray paint. I usually get drips because I don't have patients to wait and let the paint dry. I don't know how it would take on those gay plastic rims either.

This looks really good. Eventually I want to do away with all the exterior chrome on my truck. A few years ago I had some rims powder coated for my boys. They looked awesome and I was really happy with them. When I had the tires mounted on the rims though, the mounting machine caused a small chip where the machine holds the rim. Not bad enough to cause a fuss about but was a little disapointed in the durability. I'm wondering how the paint will hold up over time. Did the tire shop do anything to protect the wheels when you had the tires remounted? I too was thinking of using the DIY version of painting the rims but just can't get the picture of flaking, peeling paint on my rims out of my mind. Anyone that's had painted wheels in the past please speak up and let me/us know how they worked out long term. Jeff.

I used that stuff myself on my old camaro. I had bought some cheap used zr1 wheels, and wanted them to look gunmetal. They looked good, but started chipping after a year or so. I really didn't do the best prep job, which I'm sure had a lot to do with it.

When he painted the wheels, he just broke the top bead of the tire, so he didn't have to put them on the machine.

That's why I am hesitant to try it. I can see it flaking and peeling off with that material. One scratch and I bet the old chrome shows.
