Default TOOK MY DASH APART...pics!!

Hello:

Last week I ordered new front/rear speakers, subwoofer, and amp from Crutchfield. In order to install the amp, I needed to remove the dash. I just wanted to post some pics of what it looked like with everything removed I don't recommend this for the faint-hearted, but the pieces did come off rather easily.

I also ordered 50 feet of ram mat (sound deadening material). I went a little nuts with the ram mat and applied it everywhere including all the plastic molding.

Honestly, the most time consuming part was wiring the amp and applying the ram mat. For the amp, I had to lay speaker wire from the receiver to the amp, and from the amp to the speakers. Putting everything back together only took about 1 hour.

It was a lot of fun. The new speakers sound more clear, and it's great when the subwoofer kicks in

Folks on this forum were very helpful, thanks again for your help. If anyone has questions regarding the install, please do ask....

looks like fun!

you should have a few things painted while the parts are off...

maybe to match the blue of the outside...

would look sharp!

What did you do for inputs for the amp? Speaker level input?
