Finally Got My Challenger Hood On
#31
Decided to order some of the Challenger hood scoop inserts for the truck to make it more functional - they don't fit - they're much smaller. That was a waste. I guess I'll have to put them up on eBay.
Sooo.... I decided to cut the under the hood liner out of the way for better airflow to the engine area. Now I'm thinking of getting the K&N setup with the open top so it can utilize the cool air - but what do I do about water dumping on the filter element?

I'm talking about attaching one of these:

Not this one:

So if it was just open, with no lid on the box like there is with the stock setup, what prevents water from just dumping on the intake? Do I not need to worry about it? Or will this be a serious issue?

To the best of my knowledge, there is no after market hood out for the HD ram line. In fact, I would be shocked to see anything within the next year if at all. Nice thing about the 3rd gens was that they used the same hood, but that's not the case anymore. Just a big waiting game to see if it works out or not. Be checking the AM diesel sites too.

Has anyone seen the Carbon Fibre hood for the RAM
