Anyone else have problems with their clear coat not flashing properly? Mine was one of the first built when Chryslers started back up,having problems getting them to repair it.

Same problem here, but I really don't want them to have to repaint my new truck, so I have not even been to the dealer for this. Mine was built in Oct

I have red showing through spots in the silver two tone. It is not enough to ask for a new paint job though.

When I went to the dealer to first look at these trucks in March I noticed everyone seemed to be orange peeled quite a bit more than it should be for this day and age. I pointed it out to a salesman, he was kinda happy I think maybe since they were on the lot still they could get warranty on them and paint them before you get it. Well when I got mine it wasn't as bad as others, not worth a repaint.

Mine has the orange peel also but I could live with that, it's the dry look in the clear coat I 'm havine problems with.

Mine has spots where clear coat was never shot. It has spots where sand or dirt got in the line. It had what they called rail dust which I clay barred three times and it's still there. That's my biggest complaint about the truck.

You might have overspray on your truck. Sometimes if they have to repair something in the factory you get overspray that goes unnoticed. If you have spots that clear coat is missed that sounds more like overspray improper masking. Try the clay bar on the dry spots if you havent and see if it is overspray. Go easy with that clay bar, don't forget every time you use it you take some clear with it.
Ya I hate having to have things painted, unless you know the shop and the painter even. I cannot stand dirty painters, shops, like overspray and tape left here and there. Under warranty they are supposed to lets say they have to paint your drivers side doors , remove all the parts including painted mouldings, RAM badge, window sweeps no just taping parts off. There are some shops around now that you can get a daily update of your vehicle online, pictures and even sometimes video.
