driver seat creak
Anyone having the same issue?
We took the truck in about 3 weeks ago for the first oil change and to have a couple other things looked at. A day or so later the driver seat starts this creaking sound when turning the truck to the right, such as pulling in the driveway anywhere to the right. It really does not do this when driving normally or making a turn to the left. The first few times I heard it I thought it was coming from behind the dash or from the frame/body. Then at some point I realized it was the seat. Also, when we had the truck serviced they told us they addressed some other things we did not specify such as the tailgate trim issue and some sort of squeaking problem they did not go into detail about. We had no squeaks whatsoever till after the truck was serviced. Well actually, we did have a squeak and still do, the right front brakes. Told them of this and they said they couldn't find anything wrong. The brakes squeal every time you apply pressure. We will be taking it to another dealer on this issue. Just out of curiosity, would it be possible to have the driver seat replaced due to an annoying creak? I am tired of it considering it makes the truck sound like some 10 year old farm truck.

I have the same creak, after they performed the rtt to fix a creaky seat. It didn't creak before. They re greased it, still creaky it drives me insane. Creaks around every corner and it's been in 3 times now they still haven't fixed it.
This is good to know because I have this issue on the passenger side. Do you know the RRT bulletin # by chance? I also have the RRT issue with the warped Rambox cap cover and will be looking for that one too.
I had a funny feeling there might be a RRT for it. It makes sense considering the seat was fine before the service we had. It sounds like something we will just have to deal with. I may look at it on my own and try to remedy the problem. I can say that it is surely an annoying sound. We still have the brake issue and less than 5k miles before warranty on that expires.
My seat didn't creak, nor was my spoiler loose but I see the dealer performed service put a new spoiler on BS I marked mine to see if they would change it or just say they did. Since this is the dealer that tried to hose me I might report them for billing for stuff they are not doing.

Hi Guys, I've got a brand new 09 Ram 1500 (less than 1500 mi) and both the drivers and passengers seats in it creak like mad and are getting worse. I took it to the dealership last week and made an appointment to have it looked at this week. While I was there, I asked the service tech if there were any RRT's on the truck, the two that came back were for the spoiler cap and an ABS flash. Nothin' on the seats. Hope they fix it though, it's making me crazy.
CREAKY SEAT FIX- Just an fyi, brought my 2009 Ram to the dealer for my passenger seat creaking noise when I have passenger. The dealer tried greasing up the tracks. That didnt fix it so i looked at it myself. Here's what to do, it worked for me so far. Reach under the rear of the seat and unclip the back flap (should have two plastic clips attached 2 fabric stretch bands),once unclipped do the same for the foam seat bottom, once thats unclipped lift it up and you will see a pipe, push grease in the seam of the inside flanges it runs through i believe that should fix it good luck!! (p.s. it looks like the flange is pressed with pipe sticking through it )
