i emailed that guy to ask about future updates after we buy the initial cd. he never emailed me back so i never ordered it.
btw i updated my REN to 9.292 and gracenote 1287 w/ any problems, very easy. i'll never ask the dealer to do it again.

 

I've got the latest update on my RER unit, but I don't have a bluetooth icon anywhere on mine. When drive I have the 1/2 nav and 1/2 music info screen on. Is the icon somewhere else?

Where did you find 2.042? On the mofv.com site it only lists 1.220 as the latest update.

OK, I am new to this radio lingo. How about radio for dummies. I have the "standard" am/fm/cd/sat radio. How much trouble and cost to "upgrade" to the mygig?

Okay, I did notice that when the phone is active, there is a battery and signal symbol on the lower portion of the screen, but no Bluetooth icon.

 

I have the REN w/sat and uconnect added and my version is 9.293 from the factory it even has a yellow rectagular sticker on the radio as well as showing up in the set up. My radio was built 02/10/09. I bought it thru Ebay. Works great took dealer forever to set it up and make the Uconnect work. 2 dealers total 14 hours. First one expected me to pay for their mistakes since they never got it working(the uconnect part) They charged me over 100 bucks..Well Chrysler Customer Service told them to pay me back. Cant charge for incomplete work. The other dealership spent same time but got it working and did not whine about hour many hours they had into it. Customer Service agrees the customer does not have to pay for their learning experiences especially when then say no problem .5 hours charge be outta there in half hour. My wife was there 7 hours. Okay I have already ranted about this before.

 

I tried to update from 1.055 to 1.220. I followed the directions on the mofv.com site to the letter. The unit reads the CD fine, but after the security check it says that the CD is not valid. Any ideas? I do have the RER radio.
