Have a question!!!
Alright guys im new to the site and i have a question. I have a 2009 trx4 and i was wondering if i could put a leveling kit on it or would it be easier to get a suspension kit? Also what would be the best backspacing to run if i got the leveling kit with 35's thanks.
There are several threads on both of these issues.
https://dodgeforum.com/forum/search....archid=1130160 This search brings up "leveling" for 4th Gen only.
https://dodgeforum.com/forum/4th-gen-ram/203492-new-wheels-and-tires.html This guy has the TRX-4. He leveled it and has aftermarket wheels.
So, in short, yes, you can level a TRX-4.
Wheels would be something like a -11, -18, offset depending on how far you want them to stick out.

Spihemi, hello from your neighbor in McAllen. I assume your truck is 4x4, have you taken it out on the beach? How does it run? I have a CC 4x2 with the Lone star package 20" wheels. I've been out to the beach three times with terrible results. The stock tires have almost no traction in the sand. I plan on buying a boat some day and I can see problems at the ramp with these tires, however I do like the on-road performance. I thought about getting the 4x4 but i will be doing mostly street driving.
Oh u know i have taken it to the beach and it works good for me the performance was really good. I have a CC trx4 so i have 17 and the tires that come with the offroad package and i really like them alot but im trying to get some 35's and some new rims and c if that makes a great difference.
Awesome, I've thought about making a run up the beach to the north Mansfield cut at low tide, but the thought of getting stuck that far out scares me, especially at high tide. Any advise for the non 4x4 rams?

Wait till a front blows thru or after a rain. The high tide will pack the beach down as will a hard rain. I've driven 70mph to the east cut at times. If you plan on making a trip in a 2x4 make sure you air down your tires to like 25lbs of air, take a jack, a 5 gallon bucket to put water in, a couple pieces of carpet and a shovel. You can use the jack to lift the truck up and put the carpet under the tires to get it moving. You can also use the bucket to get water from the surf and pour around the tires, it will pack the sand and help ya get moving. The balder your tires are the better they work in the sand. With all terrains if your tires spin any at all you dig in an get stuck. I grew up in PI and ran my buggy down the beach 4-5 times a week. Lots of good times down there. And the fishing is awesome!
Keep your speed up in the soft stuff and never stop till ya hit packed sand. Also avoid deep ruts and never park too close to the surf. The water will wash the sand out from under the tires and you'll get stuck. And when all else fails make sure you have a cell phone and plenty to eat and drink.

Thanks for the info HOP, after getting stuck real bad once at access #6, I make sure to carry a shovel, bucket and tow strap with me from now on. I know what you mean now about driving on the sand after a front/rain. I went out to the beach two weeks ago after some real heavy down pours and the sand was so wet if felt like mud. I thought about going up to the cut but played it safe and stayed close to access #6. By the way, nice buggy!!
Used to take my 97 F350 7.3L 4x4 down there and couldnt get it stuck if i tried... Of course it had 14" of suspension lift and was sitting on 49" Irocz. Twin turbos, injectors, etc......damn i miss that truck
