Link does not work even with Dodge in there.

It works for me. I click the link and it directs me to a site with pics of babes and duchebags. I then type in dodge (lower case d) between the . and talk (no spaces) and it takes me to the thread.

I have been reading where some Chrysler/Dodges have a hidden service menu that displays on the EVIC after performing some trick. Some have disabled ESP from that menu.

I will try the link again.

Where did you read about the secret EVIC menu?

Google search for "disable esp Dodge Ram". I'm pretty sure one was a 300 forum. I will post up some links. One thread said something about hitting the trip reset multiple times to access the menu.

It is down the page a ways:

It looks like they may have a different setup. What we really need is a Dodge tech to chime in here. It seems like a bunch of different vehicles have their own little "tricks".

Something else of interest. Page 2 lists select 4wd vehicles. I wonder if we're one.

Yes I cut the wire 2 days after I got the truck, and all the lights came on , (you would not believe how easy it is to get to the PINK wire, its right in view),and it spun the wheels good, but it wont go back untill you go to the dealer, for resetting, also when it is raining, and you are used to it taking off good at the light with ESP ON, you will get a suprise if you punch it..too squirrly for me,so I will keep looking also,

I am at the dealership right now. I asked if there was a way to check the DTC codes. I am waiting on the answer.

Good info. Thanks for clarifying. I am glad I didn't try it before starting this thread!

In other news, the dealer told me there was no secret check engine code process. To me, that means there isn't one or they don't know it.

I have been hounding the internet on and off all day. I am starting to think that the only way to completly disable ESP in our trucks without disabling the ABS would almost have to be through a PCM hack. I guess we can take comfort in the fact that, as we own an 09', there will be much much more government regulation of our vehicles in the future. (and what we eat where we **** what we say, etc.) change changeity change change.
