Considering selling my drop-in liner for a spray-in liner
I've been looking into getting a few add-ons for my truck. Specifically, a retractable tonneau cover, and maybe a swing-out toolbox.
Problem is, for both of those, the installation instructions require me to hack up the drop-in liner.
I've had drop-in liners before, but I didn't have tonneau covers with them. I'm afraid that by hacking it up, it'll be a lot more likely to move around, and thereby, eat up the paint on my bed.
So I figure, sell it, get a spray-in liner, and the problems solved.
Thoughts? Would I be better off keeping it, and cutting it up?

I'm not looking to make any real money by selling it. I just figured that since it's still in really good shape, and only a few months old, it'd be a shame to throw it out.
I did the same, those drop in liners are terrible - I wish I knew that before I ordered it from the factory that way. A friend told me his truck bed had rusted out in 3 years from water getting trapped under there. I ripped mine out and got the Line-X. I just threw the old liner away.
take it out, set it on fire, and let the neighborhood children dance around it......
I still have my drop in and i'm not having any problems with it, although with all the work you're doing you'd be better off with the spray-in
My wife's truck has the drop in liner and I have the Line-X in mine. If I knew how much better the Line-x was, I never would have got the drop in liner in the first place.

Both have their merrits.
The spray-in liner is not as slippery for items in your box.
It supposedly is better for keeping rust at bay - think abrasion from the drop-in.
The drop-in liner is probably tougher for things like shovelling gravel out of your bed.
It doesn't tear up the bottom of a cardboard box when sliding it across your bed.
It keeps items 0.5" off the floor of your bed in case your tonneau leaks a little.
There are probably more, but these are my $0.02
