They say just to wait till the indicator light comes on and it will all be ok. Me, personally, I will go no more than 5000km inbetween changes no matter what the dummy lights say.

When the EVIC tells me to. Approximately every 6,000 miles.

Did my first one around 2000 miles (no EVIC indication) but will probably wait a bit longer next time

The first 3 changes were 3000-4000 miles but now I change every 5000 miles. 10000 km should be fine especially for synthetics. My evic usually tells me at around 4000 miles so I pay no attention to it.

I had 4000 before my first oil change, now I will probably wait till the light tells me to for the next one.
