Default had mds update done today

I went into the dealer and had them check for any tsb's or rapid
responses since my truck was an early build and i have only had
it 3 weeks. The dealer had done all the rapid responses already
and all tsbs so i told him i had been having trouble with the idle being
rough and the mds not kicking in when it should and i gave him the number
of the tsb. So they took it back and checked it out and when i got it back
the paperwork said they flashed the pcm with 18-019-09.
I can tell you it really makes a difference, it runs much smoother now and
i notice the fuel saver light coming on much more often now. It even feels
like it is a little quicker off the line but that could just be because it is running
smoother. So if you were thinking about getting it done i say do it you wont
regret it.

Your truck is not an early build if it has a fuel saver light.

Overall I'm a fan of the changes the MDS flash made. I haven't really noticed a MPG jump, but I have seen the increased frequency of the Fuel Saver light. I think the biggest bonus was the smothness that the engine now has when going into, and coming out of MDS. Before it sounded like something was breaking each time and the exhaust note (even with stock muffler) sounded like a Pinto when MDS was active.

Build date of Jan. 09. I know its not as early as some but i still
consider it an early build seeing as i just got it 3 weeks ago.

Not all the hemis have the fuel saver light. Typically the trucks built before last year do not have the light with the exception of some in december. Those of us that don't have it are wating for an update that dodge will hopefully come up with.

I think when I get home in December I will take my Ram to the dealer and see if I can get a flash done.

Good luck...........geesh this has been going on for a year about this MDS light. If they do flash it those of us who have been used to NOT having it come on will be complaining about it going on.
I personally don't think I have MDS period I have not heard any weird exhaust sounds no matter what speed etc. But then again I am more into the enjoyment part of driving rather than the listening for problems....that is why North American vehicles get a bad rap. You think BMW owners drive around listening for problems? Just drive and enjoy your trucks guys and gals quit picking on them. If there is a problem and you have a warranty end the stupid questions like My truck is making a rattle while I drive what should I do? Take it to the dealer dumbass. Now rephrase it like this, I have a rattle and have narrowed it down to the right front door has anyone else had anything similar...that way you get the info you need possibly instead of asking people to do your searching for you.

72combo, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this board is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
