Is there anyone with the lockpick that "Doesn't" have audio dropouts?

This is the main reason I went with the AllGig. The price was tempting for the lockpick but I couldn't live with the audio drop outs. I've been running the AllGig for several months and you'd never know it's there other than seeing a movie while in gear.

I have the ALLGIG and I get the audio drop outs. I did not know it was do to these bypass units. I installed it the first day I bought my truck. Navigation is useless without it. I will be contacting NavTv to see if they are aware of this issue.

Have you checked that you have the latest firmware release loaded? You are the only person who has reported this issue with the AllGig that I've seen.

A lot of the functions are disabled while the truck is in drive. While I agree you shouldn't input a street address while driving, it should be on the driver to be responsible and not do it. The Nav lockouts are a pain if your passenger is trying to input stuff. It pissed my wife off bad enough on our first road trip, that she gave me the OK to buy a Lockpick/Allgig. But with all the problems people where having I've never done it.

I know I don't have the "latest version" which would enable my Sirius Back seat TV to be visible on the MYGIG while driving.

I have the version prior to that and did not feel like taking everything apart just to enable cartoons on the MYGIG while in motion. I was using the workaround of inputting a destination which allowed the picture to display while in motion and turning the navigation volume down.

However, I have had this problem all along and thought it was reported by people who did not have an ALLGIG or LOCKPICK installed?

Run the USB cable into the glove box. No need to take it apart everytime an update is availble. This is the main feature that makes the AllGIG a superior unit.

I'm one of the ones who has been trying to get the word out about Coastal Tech and their total lack of customer service after the sale. I also learned the hard way but I'm trying to warn others from making the same mistake.

I purchased a Lockpick and backup camera from them over 1 1/2 years ago. They responded promptly to several questions I had before I bought anything. However, when I had a problem with the camera and emailed them no less than 10 times they never responded and still have not. After they get your money you can forget about trying to communicate with them ever again.

Please let this and the other messages in this thread be a warning to any MyGIG owners who might be considering getting a Lockpick. Do a Google search for ALLGIG-USB and I'm sure you'll be much happier with your purchase.
