I have 20,000 miles on them and luckily I don't think they will make 40,000! These tires start howling as soon as they see the curve coming up! They roll over and make the truck handle like crap. The 09 will beat the 03 in a straight line but in the curves the 03 will run away from the 09 with these crappy tires. I currenly have Avon Tech ST's on the 03 and they do OK.
I am with Islander on this description. These tires are no good. Tire Rack consumer rankings place them 57 of 69 in the class. That's about right.

I am ditching my Wranglers in a couple of weeks. Can't stand them much longer.

Default Goodyear Wrangler HP

I have 60,000 miles on the and they have been great OEM tires. Have never had them rebalanced and have rotated them about every 10,000 - 15,000 miles. They are getting close to the wear indicators and will be replacing them this Friday with the same time except they will be white letter. I don't understand all the complaints with these tires!!!

I don't know how these are going to be but I had the same ones on my 03 Durango and they were replaced due to dry rot at 3 years old and 20,000km's . Only difference is they were 17 inch. From the beginning i had balancing problems with them, the dealer could not get the vibration out of the Durango. I got an alignment and all wheels balanced at an alignment shop on my own dime....they told me only thing wrong was one wheel was not balanced properly. I took it out of there right to highway, hundred miles an hour and not shakes vibrations nothing. Dealership gave me 10 oil changes and apologized and begged I don't send the form that gets sent to Chrysler about how happy you were with your service....3 trips to a dealer to find out a wheel not balanced properly.

Now my sons Avenger has Bridgestone Turanza's I thought finally a good tire. 15000KMs replaced them with the new designed Goodyear GT. The winter ratings are only 2 points less than 10 which most winter tires score. The Bridgestones are rated as unacceptable for winter and yet Chrysler puts them on a car that is being shipped to Ontario Canada, I think they thought it was Ontario California. Only tires I have seen to be good are the Continentals from the factory. We shall see how the new Goodyears perform this winter, last year an ice storm cost him his front end.

Yes the Goodyear Wrangler HP are the original tires that came on the truck.

Mine spin since the day I took it off the lot. It's not the tires.. or at least not en"tire"ly (bad pun).

The *** end is seriously light. More so that other trucks I've had. I'm in Canada, so I have no choice but to sand bag it for the winter or run with 4x4 on most of time.

My 17's are Goodyear Wrangler AT/S. (New 09 TRX) They receive good reviews on Tire Rack and Discount Tires but mine whine a little even on smooth asphalt. Also it feels and sounds like one of the tires has a slight flat spot...faint noise that varies with speed...similar to a stone stuck in the tread groove.

Glad to see that I am not exclusive in my opinion that these factory tires suck ***. I am sliding CONSTANTLY and I have to slow way down before making a turn. Unfortunately its not to the point where I don't think I can't compensate to my my drive safe. Thus, I cannot justify buying new tires until I have the cash in my hands for some nice Bridgestones. Does anyone have any insight into how big we can go with a stock 09 TRX-4?
