Default factory tires...

I have about 9,000 miles on my 09 Dodge Ram and the factory installed Good years are already starting to spin in the rain. Is anyone else having this problem? Do these tires just not last long?

I had the same problem on my 05 ram i had before this one. I replaced them after
about 20k but they had started spinning long before that. I replaced them with
some hankook ventus rh06, huge improvement in the rain. I only have 1k on my
09 but im sure i will have to do the same with these.

I see them going under in the future if they don't quit making crap tires. Once they lose their contract with NASCAR and people realize their tires don't last long they will be under. We have a contract at work with goodyear and they blow out left and right. The mechanics want to drop them bad.

Theyre junk, just like the brand name in general. The goodyears on the gf's charger are junk too.

Guys its not just Goodyear's. I have Pro Comp Extreme A/T's and they spin in the rain just as easy as the stock goodyears I had on the truck.

I had about 32K on my 2005 GoodYears and they were getting down there. I full expect to need new tires @ 35K give or take a few K.

As for wet pavement, just do not hit the gas so hard

Yeah your biggest problem is your foot on the pedal. I really haven't noticed the tires spinning more than they should on wet pavement. The 2500 cummins I had before with michelins was much worse.

I've got about 20k on the hp's right now and they're in pretty good shape.

I did a lot of research and the best tire for the money is the General Grabber, they were listed very high especially for performance in wet weather.
