Sport VS. Laramie - What are the differences?
Howie is the man, I love those GM commercials. Better than the Ford commericals, which by the way lie. Apparently no other truck has any voice activated commands.... Huh, that is news to me, Thanks Ford!
Heated wheel was NOT an option in my 09 Sport, but I have a RC as well.
Full leather seats also not an option in a RC Sport.
Here is also another big difference, no RC Laramies.
You missed a big one, the wheels.
No two tone paint on a sport.
Someone else said it. If you like the chrome look it needs to be a SLT or Laramie if you have the cash. For the painted look just load up a sport and it will be almost the same as a Laramie. It was easy for me, I wanted a RC and I really do not like the wood (plastic) trim inside.

I'm debating between the Sport or a Big Horn, I like the sports interior best, but I do take my truck dear hunting and have to go down some overgrown trials, which I can see scratching up the painted mirrors and bumper on the sport, so I'm leaning towards the Big Horn.
My sport has auto 4x4. But your right, I don't have auto-tilt mirror in reverse. I liked the Laramie, but Chrysler chrome sucks. Every Ram I've ever had, the chrome rusts, pits and corrodes after just one winter. Maybe all chrome does this, but I loved the idea of having a truck with no chrome. Even the rims are "chrome clad" so they're just plastic. I love it.
Another consideration is financial.
Consider this:
Sport for say 30k with 5k extras to bring it up to Laramie-like trim level. Dealer wants your business, but doesn't want to be stuck with a special order truck with lots of bling. So he gives 10% discount on MSRP, but none on accessories/special order items, costs 32k out the door.
Laramie costs 35k, no extras. Same 10%, costs 31500 out the door.
Now fast forward to future values. Both trucks depreciate say 50%. However, accessories are worth jack-$hit to the resale value (leather and engines excepted, maybe). If the vehicle in question warrants its own table in the little book, then that's what the value is. So:
Sport is now worth 15k.
Laramie is worth 17.5k.
Bottom line. Any dealer will tell you (if you walk over to the used car bit) that accessories and options (other than engines and leather) have NO effect on resale values. Some options (like manual tranny, or garish color) can devalue a vehicle though.
BTW, these are sample figures, I have no idea what you could actually drive a truck away for today. Game has changed a lot since I bought mine in April.

Drove my dad's 09 Laramie with the auto tilting mirrors. I couldn't use them. All I could see was the ground right behind the rear tires and nothing behind the truck. Fine if you need to back in close to a curb but a pain when backing out of a long driveway. I disabled them. Now that rear back-up camera? That is king-sh** in my book!! I want one NOW!! I love the memory seats as well. It's damn nice when you can program each remote for a different driver.
