Does anyone have the faux carbon fibre applique you can get for the center of the dash and the door panel inserts? Its an option in the 2009 Ram accessories catalogue.

I didn't know if it was a sticker type of deal or if it was an actual replacement plastic insert.

If anyone does do you have pictures of how it looks?

 

Look at CARID.Com. I ordered some samples and they look really nice. All different color Carbon Fibers and Also you can chose the parts you want to get done instead of buying a huge kit.

i planned on taking everything that was silver in my truck, and having it color matched to the exterior paint. i was going to leave chrome ring even though it does blind me sometimes.

 

Me too...oh wait, the trucks silver. Well I guess that cuts down on my workload. hehe

 

Finally found some pics. They are pretty small but at least it gives you the look. I still can't tell if they are some kind of stick on applique (for the center console) but the door inserts look as if they are some kind of moulded plastic. Not sure how they attach though......seems to me some kind of adhesive would eventually separate and fall off.

the pictures are pretty small but from the looks of it, the pattern looks kinda fake in my opinion. Ive seen that stuff that looks like carbon fiber under a rubberized gel coat and it looks surprisingly real. this on the other hand is not that material. maybe a cheaper knock off. the stuff im talking about is the type where you can almost make out the stands of the fiber weave and everything. just my 2 cents.
