I currently have a RES unit in my truck and would like to upgrade.Does the unit fit into the same space?Or do you need a new bezel?

the regular price is $289 from NavTv and the AV harness is $64 or so.. the $199/$58 is a good price that you probably wont soon see again.. The AV harness allows you to get input from another source for video or add another camera (if you do not have one from the factory you will need this harness to be able to use a rear backup camera). It also has outputs to display the DVD player in the dash on a remote screen via RCA cables. This can be any screen that has RCA inputs. hope this helps.

 

FYI - The AV harness is only necessary for aftermarket back up cameras. It is not necessary for the OEM back up camera.


Susanne told me I needed the harness for the OEM to work on demand while driving.

 

That's what she told me as well. I guess as long as you don't want to see the camera while in drive, you really don't have to have the AV harness.

 

Well, I'm getting it anyway, it's cheaper than normal. Plus, I have a 19" flat panel that I can plug into the dash and watch in the back seat while the wife drives...

Lockpick v.2 is all over Ebay for 199 with the AV cable included...free shipping is US also in some. Mr. CD is one but there are a few more.

 

Unfortunately the Lockpick v.2 caused many/most/all of us Ram owner's problems with audio drop outs. We have many confirmed reports of AllGig owners who have no issues in their Rams.

I personally own a Lockpick v.2 and had it in my Ram and had the audio drop outs. I took it out and installed it into my 08 JK and the audio drop outs stopped. It seems that something with the 09 radios that doesn't like the Lockpick.

Thanks for the info though. Anyone with an older MyGig can definitely take advantage of that deal.
