DENT at dealership... PISSED
The GM called me this morning and told me to bring the truck back in to see what they can do, I wasn't happy with that statement... Tell me your going to make it right and fix it, not we'll see what we can do. Right now it's there and I'll wait to see what they do...
If they bang it out and make it look 100% I'll be good with that, anything less, we'll have problems...

Yea, they need to fix it right. My dealership scrapped the corner of my front bumper on one of my other cars and I didn't realize it until I got home, I called the tech back at the dealership and he said to bring back over and he had his manager look at it, they sent it to a bodyshop to have it fixed and took my word for it, since I didn't notice it until I got home.
update...
They're keeping the truck for another day, kinda upsetting but hopefully they're doing their best to make it look good. Said they need to take it to the body shop tomorrow...
No rental car, but I'd rather pick my battles right now...
Just hope that all this time pays off and it's not a half a** job...

just cuz they "try" to fix it doesn't mean they did it satisfactoraly... If you are not 100% satisfied.. tell them so.. and if they don't make it right 100%.. offer as I said earlier to litigate it with lawyers and juries. oh yeah.. AND the action news team on your side.
Customer Service in the US must really be none existant. I have received all my problems with dealerships solved with a phone call or email to Customer Service. I really think a letter from a lawyer would solve your problem like someone up there said though. That is one thing you guys in the US have is good litigation, we hav so many rules and limits it's not worth the hassle. Trust me I went thru it.
Thx for all the inputs guys...
I got the truck back yesterday. There is no evidence of a dent or breaks in the paint. I would say it's 99% fixed, the fender panel and door panel is slightly off, not alignment. You won't notice it unless you know what to look for. It's so minor, that if you ran your hand across the two - you'd feel a little lump crossing the two. Driver side is dead on smooth. Overall, I'm good with 99% and having my truck back. You don't realize how much you miss it until you don't have it...

Should be 100 percent, it's like this guy who just rearended my daughter in her old 89 Comanche(tough little truck) His 01 Sebring totalled she needs a new roll pan and the right quarter repaired. He didn't want to go thru insurance so I said I would get quotes.
So my wife and daughter went to 3 places ranged from 1200 to 2600. He did not like that so he asked us to take it where his car was so he could see if he was getting ripped off, first of all I could just say fukc you and take it to insurance and she could get a sore back etc. He hit her, her rules. So I said to him she would take 1800 cash kinda split it down the middle since I know a body guy and he gave me the estimate for 1200 and he was be generous he said so for the 1800 she is getting the whole truck done unless there is frame damage but the truck drives fine, no dog tracking...followed for miles to see and also the box is even between the cab and it so I don't expect frame damage. Of course she will be getting a quicky. Those other places just put out an insurance estimate in case he went thru insurance. Oh his body place by the way I forgot to mention was the highest over 2600. LOL oh man, so she was gonna get it quicky painted anyway. It is gonna get a used rear bumper cuz roll pans aren't worth the money, He might put a used quarter or a new one depends on price those guys who quoted 2600 where putting a new box side on....you think insurance would fix a rusted quarter. I told my daughter he did you a favour. Only reason she is fixing because we just did a grand in engine work, mainly fixing oil leaks, clean driveway. She will have to kick in a few hundred if she wants to upgrade to base clear or something, I told her just take a nice shiney black truck instead of that old beater lookin faded thing and don't worry about the paint type so much. Truck has a couple good years yet. Knock wood.
You have to stop looking at the damage and showing all your friends it will drive you nuts. Like you said it's only visible to you, I have a few things in the paint from the factory that I have left well enough alone, I hate overspray and tape lines etc. Factory is the best.
