Default Offroad lights on our new body style....

So, per my earlier post, I am having a Pro Comp 6-inch suspension system installed this week with 35X12.50R20LT Toyo MTs mounted on my Eagle 20-inch rims to go for more of the offroad look.

I always liked the look of having offroad lights (like PIAAs or KCs) to complete the look and use for my desert and mountain forays. But so far, I have not found any light bars for our trucks (I am not a fan of the pre-runner look as I think the light bars are classier looking). I called Randy Ellis Design who I have used exclusively before (see below) but was told they do not have enough demand yet to design one for our 4th Gen Dodge 1500s.

Examples of my past light bars (apologize for my Ford pics):

My 2004 Dodge 2500 Quad 4x4

My 2008 F250 FX4

My 2008 F150 XLT 4x4

Since I can't find anything like this for the Dodge, I was thinking of mounting (2) PIAAs (with chrome guards) directly on top of my front bumper since there is lot's of room there. Has anyone done this and/or have pics of how that turned out? Any ideas?

Thanks guys for the comments.

I guess I'll have to look at mounting two off road lights on the front bumper. I searched last night for grille guards as well but didn't find anything with clean lines that compliment the new body style. Most just look hideous (unlike the ones that look good on the Fords or Chevys). <sigh>

i can't see the pictures that you posted so i'm not sure if this is even what you are talking about/looking into but this bar doesn't look that bad and could mount off road lights on it.. it does come from under the bumper which takes away some of your clearance but with a 6" lift i think it would be ok.

Yes, I thought about the bull bars but not a huge fan of those (probably because it seems that every Ford, Chevy, and Dodge truck around here has them). They remind me of those little terriers where the bottom jaw sticks way out to show their teeth...lol.

But I think you're right in that they look better on lifted trucks.

N-Fab makes a light bar for these trucks as long as they have the metal bumper.

So since i have the sport bumper it wont work for my truck

I have a pair of Hella's behind the grill. I'll post some pictures when I get back to my computer.

Plus they'll block your tow hooks...

Had to use mine to pull my buddy out of the mud already...
