Default Brake Controller Harness Not Included!!

I Was going to Update my post about this but I cannot find the thread anywhere.

Anyhow. My Dealer is about 50 miles away and I just recently realized that the Brake Controller Harness was not in my truck when I got it new. I have to tow Jeep home and will only do it with the trailer brakes working..

I Called about it and they said "Sure come on up we have them"

YEAH.......... Right. They did not have one and they tried telling me it was not included from the factory and I would have to pay for it.

I had to actually walk out to the truck and grab the Manual and show them that it states that it is included in the tow package. They showed me the part# on the computer and it stated it wasn't included after a certain date.

BS....If the manual states it should have it. you should get it..... they did order mine and will be mailing it to me when they get it.

Still burned up a bunch of gas though sitting in traffic for 2 hours..........

I didn't get one either, and woul;dn't have used it if I did. Much nicer to just use the direct fit harness from Teconsha which plugs right into both the truck and my P3/Prodigy

I had one in my '04 Dak that came factory. When I got my Ram, I just took it out and plugged it into the Ram. I stole it from myself.

These all use the same truck side plug, seems unlikely that they changed it in 2010

I think Chrysler made one plug to fit all.. I unplugged the wiring harness in my Commander when I traded it in and it plugged right in when I got the new Ram...

I was glad, I have a decent Reese variable controller in which I made a nice harness all soldered and heat shrinked!! All I had to do was mount the controller and ziptie the wires out of the way!
