Crappy headliner.
I love that new answer from the dealer, they go look at a couple and then say because those are lose too that it's normal. How about a few of us that have tight headliners without movement pop by your dealership and show them how it really is. So they have headliner issue that has popped up probably since after the bankruptcy, rush to get parts, maybe a new supplier that is not to spec yet. We don't have to accept that answer it is supposed to be like that.
My headliner rises up a little bit on the side edges, especially around the pillar where the seat belts are. I've been trying to track down a noise that sounds like sandpaper rubbing together when i go over bumps and I am pretty sure I tracked it down to the headliner. It must be that velcro--I've been trying to think what would rub up there. I tried to push it to see if secures but no luck. It's going to the dealer to see what they can do. The noise is annoying.
Well im going to talk to the salesman and have him show me a few trucks so I can see for myself. I do think the service departments are now trying to take shortcuts to cut costs or makes things last until the warranty ends. Its like when I had a water leak coming through the passenger grab pillar took to the dealer they added some clear glue to the top passenger part of the windshield to stop the leak, they told me they had a windshield company pull it out and resealed but im douftful that ever happened.
