Default Help How do you remove safety decals ?

Yep I want to remove those safety stickers on the sun-visors . Now I removed one but left glue residue , so what solvent would one use ?

I would venture to say they are not designed to be removed.

Be careful to test what ever solvent you go with on a tiny hidden spot first. A lot of solvents/adhesive removers will completely screw up a plastic finish. My poor office phone found that out the hard way...

Default Try paint solvent & soap and water

The answer would be paint thinnner on a soft cloth , then wash down with mild soap and water and rinse with clear water

NB I only remvoed the bilingual stickers that overlay on the English stickers .
I'm done

If it is solid plastic try WD40 it removes glue good, make sure it is not an absorbent material.

I use a product called "De-Solv-It" to remove any kind of glue residue I come across. It works really well and hasn't stained/ruined the finish on anything I've put it on. Plu,s it's made from oranges so it smells nice.

longbow, how did you remove the sticker???? i have been picking at it for a while and got tired of it. I hate it there.

switch visors from side to side them it wont be in your vision all the time?

Nick, I took a hair dryer ( you should be careful here) and warmed up the label on the visor then gently started to lift it off .
