Angry 2010 Sport grill

Well, you can finally look at the 2010 models on Dodge.com . . . You can't build and price one correctly yet, but we're getting closer.

The 2010 sport model does in fact have a color matched grill, but now the inserts are silvery billet looking instead of the black honeycomb like the TRX4's.

I wonder if you can buy just the inserts from dodge or if you'd have to buy the whole grill assembly again to get the black honeycomb ?

I'm sure you could, although I love the color matched surround with billet inserts.

Yes, the inserts can be bought separately and swapped out. So you can do any combination of inserts with the color grilles (chrome honeycomb, black honeycomb, or chrome billet). They're a total bitch to get out though.

Topgun here on the forums tried the chrome honeycomb in his grille at one point. I think he left them in there for about a week and then went back to the black.

Here's a photo of a 2010 Sport from Dodge.com. Those aren't the honeycomb inserts. Looks like the billet. So, if the Sport is getting these, then I wonder what the R/T is getting since the R/T badge won't work in the billet inserts.

That is the same grill "theme" they had on the SRTs and my 05 sport. I liked it.

It's not like they can't do the badge attachment differently, right?

they can do it different if they want. ill even venture to say that you could probably fab something up to make it work. worst case senario, a 6 pack of corona and some epoxy resin and its done.
