Default Locking Lug Nuts

When you rotate or change your tires do you torque down the locking lug nuts or just snug them up?

They ought to be torqued with the others.

most places do it to 100FTLBS, but it will be listed in the owner's manual.

Mine were in the glovebox when I bought my truck from the dealer. The instructions say 115 lbs. I have a Snap on Torque wrench and it only goes too 100 lbs.....So mine are at 100 now....And with the aluminum 20's I figure that is tight enough.

My manual says 130 ft lbs. Tighten crossways and in increments.

Yep, 130 ft lbs is correct. It's 176 nm if you are on the metric system.

And yes, the locking nut has to be torqued just like the rest of the nuts.
