Default RRT's

Took my '09 1500 Laramie in for the 6000 mile service the other day (it's at 8500 though). I NEVER take my vehicles back to the dealer... too many bad experiences. But, to keep the warranty up I figured I would go by and let them do the 6k checkup/service and do an oil change tire rotate while it was there.

$95 later (yeah... really... for an oil change and tire rotation... that's another reason I don't take it back to the dealer) I am kinda disappointed that they didn't do the outstanding RRT's. I gave them a call after I got the truck back and asked. The service manager assures me that they always do the RRT's when anything comes in and that they must have just overlooked mine.

Anyway - on to my question - RRT service is free correct?

under warranty, then yes it is free! I have taken mine to the dealer for the first 2 oil changes so that they can preform the RRT's if there are any. I feel your pain on the price for the oil change and tire rotation! I got a free oil change in the mail from my dealer last week so it looks like I will be taking it to them for the 3rd oil change also.

we got a pretty good list of up to date RRTs in the following thread:

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/4th-gen...on-thread.html

you might want to check and see which ones might apply to you since your dealer would appear not to be looking out for you.
good luck

Yeah, that's how I knew anything at all about RRTs!

They just called and said that the parts they had to order were in and I could bring it by anytime.

I'm going to ask for a 'build sheet' and also a list of the RRTs they do. Is there any way to know what software version software the truck is running? i.e. how do I know they flashed the cluster for the odometer issue (08-071)? (just picked the first one for simplicity)

A dealer is stpuid to not do them on every vehicle that comes in. They get paid from Chrysler to perform the fix. Money out of their pocket if they do not. Poor management.
