Angry Sport models still not going to production..?!?

So, I ordered my Sport about 2 months ago now... and I've been told there are "supplier issues" with the sport. The owner of the dealership has called the regional rep several times on my behalf and after the last call, we were assured that the status would change to "D" this week and give us an estimated delivery date... well, this week has come and past, and still no change. Owner called again, rep saying the same thing, and said that we should see it change next week.

Needless to say, I'm getting frustrated. My car sold last week, so I'm without a ride. The limbo is starting to get old, and the dealer is trying to persuade me to just order an SLT or Laramie, but I really wanted a sport b/c of the leather and painted bumpers.

Anyone else out there running into the same issue? Any suggestions? SLT for me is not an option b/c I need the leather (have a dog that sheds like crazy) and the laramie is less than ideal b/c of the rims and wood grain trim...

Not much you can do but wait if that is what you want. Going to assume you already looked for any left over 09 stock? I did a quick search and there are 17 within 200 miles of me (ranging cab configs, but 17 09 sports).

Just go to Dodge.com, shopping tools, search new inventory. Select your zip, 09 1500 and sport. When I was looking for my 09 I also used this to get zip codes from others areas. http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/citytown.jsp

Maybe it's just one of the options that you want holding you up?
Find out what it is and if you really want it or not.

I am not so sure about that. None of the lots in my town have any 10 sports and it is not even an option to search for on the site.

so, I just pulled up the dodge site, and now the Sport model selection is active for the "build my own" 2010 option... is it me or is this new? I checked about a month ago and the sport was not even an option... perhaps this is good news?

Place an order for 10 Sport last week. Told me to expect in Jan... I hope it doesn't get pushed further out. My current truck is at 202k and about to go....

No, I am from the US. I just double checked and went to the Dodge site and the sport option for the 2010 build my own is def up. I am choosing a 4x4, crew cab option, if it makes a difference.

nevermind... i thought it was on 2010, but it was building a 2009. Not sure why they still have the option up since I'm pretty certain Dodge is not building any more 2009's.
