Funny stuff. If it worked then the manufacturers would use them. I love the free "antennae delete kit" Some 12 year old is making these in their basement.

They do work and the manufacturers do use them (or similar technology). There are no antennas on my 2009 Corvette (its signal wiring is in the mirrors), and the wife's 2009 Pontiac G8 GT has a much more eye pleasing "shark fin" antenna on the roof. The only reason to have a butt ugly 3 foot lightning rod on your fender is to save the manuafacturer some coin.

Having said that - I have NO IDEA if this particular kit "does the job". All I am saying is that you do not need an external antenna to receive radio signals. Personally, I think the goofy looking antenna delete bolt looks far worst than the antenna - but that's a personal preference. If I were to seriously consider the removal of the antenna I'd have a body shop eliminate the hole.

I'm old enough to remember when they put them inside the windsheild, didn't work for crap then. The shark fin isn't exactly a hidden antennae, just the same booster technology that my 84 scirrocco had.

If it were possible to stick something like what is pictured in that ad inside the car and reliably get a signal, then the OEM's would do it. It would be a heck of a lot cheaper than the assembly and cabling required to put it on the fender.

my brother had a 03 subaru outback that didn't have an antenna and it worked perfect. It surprises me that any new vehicle now would have these old things.

Jeremy just an FYI i got a 14in black powder coated antenna from that company, looked and worked great for two months then it fell apart came off its mount while washing my truck lol dam thing was not even tack welded!!!
So I have tried to contact the company multiple times to get it replaced and never got a reply from them.

Now it was only $14 but its bad business not to provide at least some sort of customer service!!!
