I was able to get mine off fairly easy, but I was expecting a battle.

I had the right size oil filter wrench and was able to go in over the cross member from the front, which gave me plenty of leverage to wrench it off.

Mine was on tighter than normal, but not as bad as some others have reported. Thankfully I was able to remove it with just my filter wrench.

Every new car I have handled which includes Nissan,Isuzu,Olds,Cads,Chrysler's,Mazda's,Pontiac' s and such the NEW oil filter has been installed by the same Gorilla family.LOL been hearing it for over three decades.LOL

Yea, the factory usually installs these really tight, thats why I usually take it to the dealer for the first oil change with all my cars to let them deal with it.
