The Right Oil Filter
The 2nd gen boys have kicked this topic around to the point that it's a touchy subject anymore.
Some ideas that I and other people follow on filters:
1. Don't use Fram. The media is very well known to separate and then flake away and travel through your motor. 2nd gen rams that have this issue generally hear valve chatter first. (Have had experience with this myself)
2. Be wary of MOPAR filters. Like any business, they care about profit margins the most. Case here is they switch suppliers around, so one trip to the store might net you a purolator design, while the next trip you might get stuck with a Fram.
Personally, I run Wix and Wix only in all the vehicles, and that's all I let my cousin use in her 09 hemi.
