Default Level kit TRX models

I have been poking around a bit on the true answer for a level kit for the TRX owners...

I came across this vendor

ProRyde. They make a level kit that is adjustable, the only one offering a top mount system that adjusts for the 09 i believe. I measured and its a toss up from 2-3/4 to 3 - 1/4 from what the back and front sit from ground to top of wheel well. I know there are kits, but the problem is that they are designed for the sport, and the TRX i a bit different. I called rough country, and those idiots actually said, get this... "Buy our kit, and see what the difference is, then you can buy the size spacers you need for the back". Their answer was buy it first, and see how it works...

So with the ability to adjust, i am thinking this might give me the ability to run 33's or 34's with plenty of room left in the wheelwell to not make the truck look funny by hogging up the wheelwell with tire..

opinions....

Thanks gang

It will allow a 2-3" lift on the front. So it is adjustable, up to 1" with a minimum of 2".

Wonder if you adjust 2-3 back and forth, if it affects your alignment.

All I can say is my TRX4 just came out of the shop last wk. The leveling kit was the problem and I had my rack&pinion go out along with screwing up the 2 front tires.

Another question. If I were to get a lift kit down the road would it matter that I have the TRX4 or are we screwed on that too?

Yes I had the Daystar. From what I can gather from a friend with a local off road shop, they all do it. He installs ready lift and has had half of those (around 50 trucks) come back to be taken off. What I dont understand is I thought I saw some place where Dodge was going to offer a aftermarket factory style leveling kit.

This is from superlifts site.
TRX4 Model - Both Superlift’s 4" and 6" systems will fit Dodge’s TRX4. Some additional Superlift components are needed if using the strut spacer lift version (see Application Chart for details). Note that the TRX4 factory ride height is approximately 1" taller than the standard DS, so you will gain 1" less lift than stated. When lifted, the standard DS and the TRX4 ride height is the same.
Our 2.5" Level-It front lift system must not be installed on TRX4 models.

What kind of driving do you do, is it a lot of rough terrain, or mostly paved streets and highways? Did your friend think that yours being a TRX was a contributing factor or did he think it would be a problem with all rams? Not that I doubt you in any way, but I've just never heard of any of these type problems out of readylifts, and I was seriously planning on ordering their SST kit.

I drive all hwy at this time. I use my truck for my work so I drive 100-200 miles a day. I dont think it matters if your truck is a TRX or regular 4x4, after the dealer showed me how much bind the rack&pinion was under with the leveling kit I understood. Dealer claims all 4x4 09's will have the problem. The biggest problem according to my friend with the off road shop is the rack&pinion gear has a rubber mesh spacer that gives out under a constant bind. I had no problems until I had about 8000 miles on the leveling kit. The 2 big off road shops here in San Antonio are Anthony's Planet Pickup and Maximum Altitude witch is owned by my friend Joey. Feel free to look them up on the web and call him for advice.
