Matt
Why don't you just hit the speaker button on the phone? The speakerphone on my iphone works great.

Screw the army regs and those dumb MP's (I used to be one too)

It was tricky figuring out where I wanted to mount a 7 inch screen, it's actually pretty big. I ended up bending and shaping the metal base plate and fitting it in the middle cupholder (I don't have the center floor shifter console) and the screen sits right below the ***** for my climate control.

I also have a gps installed in the corner of my winshield, but it doesnt have av input. If you could find one of those for a good price and do like the guy above did, I would think that would be even better. I didn't even know the garmins had that feature. But for the ease of set-up and the cheap price of mine, I like it a lot. Plus the screen has av inputs so u can use a dvd player or something if you want.
Thanks for the info, i need to see if my garmin has the av inputs, it is a higher up model, but i dont remember seeing any on it. But for $80 bucks, I wouldnt mind just having my own backup screen and stuff.

I would love to use the speaker phone but after to many years on the range I can't hear it at all. So does anybody know how hard or how much it costs to have the bluetooth Uconnect feature added to the standard radio? Thanks.

Looks really nice down there by the cup holders. I assume you cant use the cup holders anymore? or does it stay out of the way? I think i am going to try and mount it right where you have your sunglasses, that little storage space above the radio. I usually put my glasses there when i have my sunglasses on, but those can get relocated.

I can still use cans and red party cups, but not the big Route 44 size drinks from Sonic that I'm used to. But it's not that big of an inconvenience to me. I tried it in LOTS of places in the cab to include where my glasses are. Thing is, the screen is so big I couldn't see around it good there, so my options were kinda limited. If I had a slightly smaller screen (4 inch would be ideal I think), I would have definately mounted it right above the rearview miror and tucked the cord in the headliner and down the pillar trim. They make replacement rearviews with a small screen behind mirrored glass. A little bit more expensive, but it probably would have been a better option. Live and learn.
