Captain
I myself got the Magnaflow exhaust kit, from muffler to tips, which are 5 inches instead of the stock 3.5. Looks really good and sounds perfect. I didnt want a crazy loud noise and got what i was looking for. Deep rumble.
Here are some pics of the before and after looks of it.

You guys with the flowmasters, you have any dyno's to check out your low end torq ? I've had three dyno tuned F150's and used to go to dyno days sponsored by a custom tuner in VA and they were referred to as "slowmasters". I know this post is just 'hearsay', I have no dyno sheets to back this, but they had sort of a bad rap in the Ford tuning area from what I recall. I was also at an exhaust shop and they had one cut out, there is no glass packed in there, they are chambered and have a bunch of V shapes welded inside. Definately not a "flow through" design like magnaflow, borla etc..
Rookie
I first installed a single in/single out 2 chamber flowmaster on my 09 ram 5.7 and it lost power. Switched to borla single in/dual out and I was shocked at how much my RAM woke up. I still love the way flowmaster sounds though... Borla sounds better in my book
I never thought about Borla my buddys challenger has them the hemis are pretty darn close they do sound sick but the price makes you some what sick to right around a G one thing i did forget to mention my trx4 didnt have a dual exhaust option from the factory and i dont have a problem converting to duals but it does sound like magnaflows are the way to go
Record Breaker
Nobody can tell you which exhaust is best for you........
Most people install their preference of exhaust and then instantly start bad mouthing other brands to justify why they got theirs. Truth is you wont gain much power or lose much power so go with what sounds best to you.
I went with the Flowmaster original 40 and my truck didnt get any slower and it doesnt sound like a fart can. Its loud as **** with a nice deep rumble, that's what i wanted

Mufflex dod14m here... sounds mean. Nice low rumble at idle, wicked at WOT, and quiet when it needs to be. I don't have resonators, and the MDS sound is not too ****ty. Just got it put on today, so no gas mileage info as of yet (probably not for a few more tanks either).
