Question: I purchased my truck back in May of this year and I currently have version 1.220 running on my RER (w/NAV) with Grace Notes version 1287. My questions is do I need to install the latest and greatest software version for my RER and the newest version of Grace Notes BEFORE I install my Allgig? I'm going to the dealer for my free oil change and RRTs this Friday so I was just wondering if I needed to have the software for the RER and grace notes updated BEFORE I install the Allgig? I'm going to install the Allgig myself. Can someone advise?

Having the latest firmware is always a good thing, as things are improved in each version. My iPhone has had no issues connecting through Bluetooth since the last update.

I have a LockPick and they sent the latest firmware disk with the LockPick so you can upgrade it yourself. There is a website out there that archives all the firmwares and posts the most recent versions. They have it even before all the dealers even know about it.

You can update the software before or after you install the AllGig. It really doesn't matter. They are independent of each other. I had 1.220 when I installed my AllGig and then v2.043 came out. I was able to update with my AllGig installed with no issues. So, do whatever you like.
