Guys, if you go back up the page and take a look at the Volant, there are a couple of things you will notice.

There are no metal tubes or barriers to grab and hold heat (that means hot air, not cold)

Everything is smooth and doesn't look like it was cobbled up during high school auto shop.

The dry filter is not subject to dirty air in the engine compartment and thus more maintenance.

It performs as well or better than any of the other kits and does it with style.
$379.99 and free shipping was a great buy for a superior product.

I installed my Volant today, easy install but there is a gap between it and the fender inlet. looks good but the fitment could be improved.

I'll never buy a Volant. Haven't had the Ram on a dyno yet but attended a few dyno days at Troyer Performance in 05,06 and 07 with our F150's and saw the peak HP would drop after 4k rpm on guys with the Volants. The open style intakes like Airaid, KN, AF1 etc.. held peak HP up to 5000 rpm range. Good luck with the Volant.....

Hey Doc, just get a 5 gallon bucket of warm water, do not fill al the way, just enough to get the base of the filter, add some dish soap, let soak for about 5 minutes, then slush it side to side to knock out loose dirt. fill bucket with clean water to get all the soap off. let dry and re-install. i haven't noticed a change in fule but then again, i got a 6 inch lift with 35's. quick question, would i need to put a different air fuel sensor or will the factory one reset to accomodate the mopar CAI? your teuck looks great by the way! thinking of getting some stripes done soon.thanks
