are these rims "mopar oem"...
First: They ARE MOPAR rims, and ARE top notch as far as quality goes!!
200% Improvement in that department!
Second: They are NOT 23lbs as stated before in this thread, they are in fact 33.5lbs each according to my wife's bathroom scale (digital)
Third: The O.E. Sport Chrome Clads are 35.5lbs, so you're only saving 2lbs per corner NOT the 10 previously suggested! (weighted on the same scale)
I also found out the dealer here wants $169.00 per rim for OE 17" steelies, LOL Which would you rather have?
They look amazing IMHO and I will post some pics tommorrow after I wash the truck.
8lbs off the rotating mass will help alittle but not as much as hoped.
Totally happy with the rims and the company I bought them from OE wheel distributors, I received the rims in less than a week from order. Orangeville Ontario Canada is a LONG way from Florida, so to make it here at this time of year is impressive!!
I took them to the Dealer I purchased my truck from for mounting, and they swapped the sensors, mounted and balanced the rims and re-installed my Nitrogen in the tires
$120 Canadian taxes in! Not bad IMO!
I picked mine up directly from OE Wheels on Tuesday. I think I'll put 'em on tomorrow. They aren't as light as I was expecting, but they definitely look good. Can't wait to see 'em on my truck!
Just make sure you do not use a wheel brush on them.
Sorry been busy with the holiday's will try and post a pic later today....
One other thing of note: The OE Chrome Clads require a TON of weights , The new wheels are VERY well made cause they require about 1/4 of the weights!!
I had thought it was the 20" rubber size causing the need for so many weights, but after seeing the SAME tires mounted on these rims I realized it's the rims!!
FORGED FTW!!
I love how concave they are, that really doesn't show up in the photo's of them.
I agree with CROD they would look sweet in either graphite or black, might have to get another set sometime in the future and see for myself ;-)
For the price these are being sold for, and after seeing them in person I'd buy them again in a second!
