Default Removing the badges

Anyone know the best way to remove the emblems off of my truck without damaging the paint? My best guess is WD 40, plastic puddy knife and some goo gone.

Goof Off, a few clean rags, and a small flat head screwdriver worked for me. I tried with the putty knife, but snapped it in two. I sprayed them with the Goof Off and let them sit, then used the screwdriver to get under the corner (small one will fit without touching the paint). They came off pretty easy, it just took some elbow grease to get all the adhesive off after that.

How about dental floss and then you can get the remaining glue with your wd and goof off or whatever. There is a rubber wheel goes on a mandrel put it on a drill and it will take off glue and other stuff actually very well and not mark paint.

yeah dental floss or fishing line would be the best way and wont wreck the badges if you decide to put them back on down the road or anything

Ya when I read the guy giving recommendations like using a small flat head screwdriver. Unless there is a flat headed screw you are unscrewing I think you should put it the pliers and the duct tape away, step away from the Dodge. Just kidding dental floss especially the waxed type cut thru the tape easily and you can put new tape on and sell them or keep them for when you sell it maybe someone might want them to be original. Whatever.

believe it or not the best time to take off badges is when its cold out. the glue on the tape doesnt take much to pull em off. kinda scary how easy they fly off....lol

I used a heat gun, electrical tape and dental floss...

heated badges a little, used dental floss to get the badge off, heated it a little more, pulled as much of the tape off by hand. then heated it again and used electrical tape to get the sticky part off.. works very well..

I had to do a lot of heating cuz it was 4 degrees outside when I did it and the electrical tape and foam tape were not very sticky in the cold.

If you're looking to keep the badges then I'd recommend the dental floss/fishing line trick. The small screwdriver got them off, but the process broke both my HEMI badges into 3 pieces each.
