how many cold cranking amps are listed on the oem batteries? If it is a battery issue, i'd highly recommend an optima. Best battery I've ever owned. Had a yellow top in my wrangler and it ran a 1500 watt system with 2 12" jbl's, 8000 lb winch and 4 PIAA lights without ever dimming on bass hits. The only time the PIAA's would slightly dim would be under heavy winch loads (when I'd bury it in the mud and have to pull myself out of a jam). Lasted about 4 years, which is long for me. Usually would burn through generic batteries in about 10 months or so when I was running it as my daily/weekend warrior.

Anyone out there have optima in their Ram? I don't plan on putting one in till the stock battery craps itself.

The REN radios had that problem, that is why I was nervous to buy one from ebay, luckily I knew someone who knew the guy who was selling it. It would have to be a o8 built truck I believe.

I think there is a flash for the radio to ensure the splash screen goes off. When the dealer did mine it changed the Navigation to always start up in the radio display though instead of where last left - requiring pushing "nav" button every time I start the truck
