My brother want`s to run 22x9.5 wheels 18 offset 35x12.50 toyo`s
Im running SRT`s with same tires but i had to used 1.5 spacers he dosen`t want the spacers to be that thick
Example.
I am running the 35x12.50 Toyo's. They fit, but just barely. The wheels I am using are 20x9 with a +18 offset. The Toyo tires have huge sidewall tread lugs, and they run tall for their stated size, so they tend to be wider and taller than most tires in a 35 x 12.50 size. But even with these wider than usual tires I have no contact with the a-arm. There is minimal clearance between the inside edge of the tire and the outside edge of the a-arm by the upper ball joint though. I cannot put a finger between the tire and the a-arm, it is that close. But I have taken the tires off the truck and have inspected the a-arm for rub marks, and there are none, with now about 2000 miles use, including off-road and towing use. I would say that a wheel with a +18 offset is close to the maximum positive offset for this size tire. If the wheel had a +20 offset I think the tire would be very close to the a-arm. I have had minimal tire rub between the outside edge of the tire and the back of the inner fender liner on the left side of the truck, when the tire is turned full left and I also hit a bump. It turns out that my inner fender liner was hanging down by about an inch or two. I pushed and jostled on it for a bit and felt and heard it snap back up in place, and no more tire rub. I later had a little tire rub again, and after rechecking found that the inner fender liner had dropped down again. I repositioned it back up where it needs to be, and need to find a way to secure it up there a little better. The tire contact is so minimal, and only in just the right circumstances, that it really wouldn't be a big deal. But I should be able to fasten that inner liner up where it goes pretty easily, I just need to take the time to do it. If my wheels had less positive offset, there would be more tire contact here though. So wheels have to have between a +15 and a +20 offset for this big of a tire to fit.
