I am pondering the thought of adding a toolbox or not. I like the looks of the 09 crew cab I own, but want to add a toolbox. As you know the bed is short and would hate to sacrifice what available space would be left if I added a toolbox. I like the narrow 12" box with a low profile look that I have seen before as it sits on top of the bed and allows the empty space underneath between the bed and box. My gear stored in the toolbox would be emergency gear, some tools, raingear, etc.. I have used the available storage that is already in the cab.

I have seen toolboxes on other trucks that are small and compact and out of sight, (from an elevation viewpoint), that sit on the bottom of the beds. Does anyone have any of their own suggestions please?

Also just interested on what others store in their trucks as emergency gear, like jumper cables, flares, belts, flashlight, etc... Oh yeah, and a cell phone. Thanks. Have a Merry Christmas.
