Sorry to hear that. Always sucks to have damage to the truck. Maybe a good time for a ranchand style bumper? Is one even out for the 1500 yet?

I probably would have tried bending the bumper to the point it was drivable and thrown the deer in the back....

And the drive from TX to CA sucks. I drove from San Jose to Austin once when I moved out here and I don't think I ever want to do that again.

Yeah I've done the drive from Ft. Hood to San Francisco 9 times now, this would have been the 10th and 11th times (to SF and back) and I've taken that same road every time...190 west to 10 west to 5 north, not anymore. Gonna stick to 35 > 10 now and avoid 190 altogether. I've seen roadkill on 190 plenty, but mainly small animals, I hit a hare one time with my Dakota and no biggie just bent my license plate a little so I wasn't really worried about doing it in my new Ram. Now though...**** that. As for the extra grill guard/bumper things...dunno, I've thought about it but I mean I had the truck less than 12 hours, wasn't really time to get ANYTHING for it heh. I had to cancel my appointment at Line X here in CA, I have 2 motorcycle ramps sitting at my mom's house that I can't take back to TX now...ugh. Not to mention now I have to fly my guns back to TX instead of driving them...airport security's gonna love me.

I know exactly want bent here because of my studies for my front bumper. The repairs w/ paint on the upper lip should run about $1100.

Meh insurance is covering it, but it's just the fact that it happened so soon after I got my truck and after the hassle I went through to get it...

That sux man. Yeah I almost hit a full grown buck going 70 one time on the way to Glamis here in SO.CAL. Must have grazed his tail. For all the damage that thing caused to bad you couldnt take it home and have venison steaks for a year.

I see Marble Falls on the tow truck. That area is really BAD BAD BAD when it comes to deer at night.

Well, the underside looks good. Just cosmetic stuff. As someone else said, be glad it was a "baby". Although if it would have gotten into your hood you could have worked a sport grill.

How hard does that suck? Plus, flying back home to Texas is gonna be extra special since another dip****, wanna-be terrorist set himself on fire on an airliner.

I feel for ya, man!!
