Default Wtf!!!!! !#@$^&&*@!!!!!

So I finally! picked up my truck from the dealership...and got cussed out by the salesman while I was there...long story on that one, will post in a seperate thread...but anyway picked up the truck monday afternoon about 4pm. Drove to the gun store to pick up the gun I'd ordered as a christmas present to myself, then back to base to sign out on leave and started the 27 hour drive to California. Truck had 25 miles on it when I took delivery, it made it to 277 on the drive to CA from Ft. Hood, TX and I hit a deer around 3am. 277 miles, not even 12 hours after taking delivery, and a couple of deer bolted out in front of my truck, I swerved to miss them and one stopped and ran back in front of me. Now the truck's in the body shop, and I'm sitting in the airport waiting on a last minute $600 flight to take off so I can make it home for Christmas.

Doesn't look that bad, why not just drive it home and deal with the body work later?

That's what I'm thinking. Either way, that really sucks. Sorry.

Bumper got crushed into the front left tire, can't really see it from those pics I'll post one when my camera battery recharges I don't have a card reader. Sorry for the large pics btw took them with my iPhone and didn't realize they'd be that big. Will resize when I post the other pic tomorrow. Tire rubbing on the bumper made it undriveable though, and on top of that when they took it all apart they found out the transmission oil cooler was messed up pretty bad too.

TX deer are bad... they are especially bad in the houston san antonio austin triangle. My buddy has hit about 7 of them in the last 12 months in his freightliner... fortunately for him he has a cow catcher on it.

Sorry to see that, man.... I made the 1400 mile trip from Norfolk to Houston last week and had a couple close calls with deer throughout the trip. at least it stayed low on you... I guess that's a bright side.... GL!
