ok. so being the shocks are longer. you can safely set it at the 2.1" range to level the truck up front?

second question. should these be bought as set? (all 4?)

I put these on my 06 Tacoma and set them at 1.75" in the front and put an AAL in the rear. These shocks are great...DEFINITELY get all 4 if you go this route. I bought mine for my Tacoma at http://downsouthmotorsports.com/ but on there website it doesn't look like they have them for our trucks...I would call and see if he can get them b/c I paid $250 for all 4 shocks shipped (this is where most people at toyotanation.com orderded from b/c of the price & service) I highly recommend these shocks and I would put them on my Dodge in a heartbeat, but I have been reading that a lot of people are having issues with the rack and pinion in our trucks after putting a leveling kit on. I hate how low the front of my 4x4 is, but I am not willing to risk longevity for looks. Let us know what you decide.
