I'd be worried about sucking up some water with my filter hanging like that.

I had a third gen for years with the same style intake...no issues with water. Just my two cents.

Hey COMFORT,

After you get a baseline MPG with the intake, here's an idea that some guys claim might help your gas mileage.

Perform what they call a "death flash" to the PCM. Then drive like a granny for a couple hundred miles and the PCM "re-learns".

Worth a try.

Default intake, air filter

has anyone changed to the k & n airfilter in the stock air box? is it worth the $50?

I guess my review is somewhat biased because I had a K&N in the stock box prior.

BTW it's been in there for two days and I'm not noticing enough of a change in mpg to take a chance at voiding my warranty..... Sooooo I'm gonna take a quick look at a modified stock box or just go back to all stock.

Prob put the sucker back on ebay....lol

Make sure you check the clamp every now and then. I had one of those egay cia on my 03 qc and it fell off and messed up my computer system. I ended up trading it in instead of having to pay to get it fixed.
